A-Dental Center has been a trusted part of the North Hollywood community since 1998. Dr. Fadi Elzayat has led the practice since 2008, bringing over 20 years of clinical experience in dental implants, All-on-4, full arch restorations, and comprehensive family dentistry. A graduate of the USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, one of the top dental schools in the country, Dr. Elzayat holds a Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI). He focuses on cosmetic dentistry, with a strong emphasis on dental implants and advanced full-arch solutions. He performs every implant case personally and in-house, often utilizing Cone Beam 3D imaging for precision planning. No referrals. No outside oral surgeons. Every phase of your treatment, from consultation to final restoration, is handled or supervised by Dr. Elzayat at A-Dental Center. First Visit Questions — Answered

How long is a new patient appointment?

Typically 60–90 minutes including the exam, digital X-rays, professional cleaning, and treatment plan review. If you have significant dental needs or require emergency care, your visit may run a bit longer. We’ll always give you a realistic time estimate when you schedule.

Will my teeth be cleaned at the first visit?

In most cases, yes — if you schedule a cleaning as part of your appointment. Some patients with heavy tartar buildup or active gum disease may need a separate deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) visit. Dr. Elzayat will let you know during the exam and explain why if a separate visit is needed.

I'm nervous about the dentist — what do you do to help?

We specialize in anxious patients. Tell us about your anxiety when you schedule — we’ll flag your appointment and ensure Dr. Elzayat knows to take extra time with explanations and check-ins. Nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation are available for any procedure, including a routine first visit. Many of our most loyal patients came to us terrified of dentists.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Bring a valid photo ID, your dental insurance card, a list of current medications, and any recent dental X-rays. Completing your patient forms online via YAPI before arriving saves 20–30 minutes and is strongly recommended.

Can I get same-day treatment as a new patient?

Yes, in many cases. Emergency fillings, extractions, cleanings, and teeth whitening can often be completed same day. For dental pain or a dental emergency, call (818) 593-0700 before noon and we’ll almost always get you in the same day for the $45 emergency exam with X-rays included.

Do you see children as new patients?+

Yes. We see patients of all ages starting from age 3. Our team is experienced with pediatric care and knows how to create positive first dental experiences for children — which sets them up for a lifetime of healthy habits.

What happens after my first visit?

You receive a written treatment plan with prioritized recommendations, cost estimates, and scheduling options. Our team follows up within 24 hours to answer questions and help you schedule. For ongoing care, we recommend 6-month cleaning and checkup intervals and send you automatic reminders.

Do you offer sedation for first-time patients?

Yes. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral conscious sedation are available for any appointment, including a first-visit routine cleaning and exam. Dr Edmond, is very thorough and clear about any procedure that's needed. He explains from beginning to the end on exactly what needs to be done, gives clear options and is patient with his patients.
